Pre-Conference Workshop: Energy Conservation in Gambling Facilities
New Horizons in Responsible Gambling kicked off with a pre-conference workshop, Energy Conservation in Gambling Facilities.
Two entertaining and insightful presentations along with a question and answer session led in to an energy manager challenge to the participants. Lively round table discussions followed and the presenters and panellists dropped in on tables to add their expertise to the conversations. A final panel session brought together ideas from the tables and our experts own insights in to energy conservation in gambling facilities.
At the end of the workshop participants left:
- having an understanding of energy audits, including the process of undertaking an audit and the value it provides;
- being able to identify and implement simple energy conservation actions in their own facilities;
- understanding where to obtain specialist advice when aiming to reduce bottom line costs through energy conservation and efficiency.
The workshop set out to expand the range of topics covered in the conference. A summary of the key learnings is available here.
Thank you to our experts – Innes Hood, Jeff Lee, Dr Cristian Suvagau and Michael Urbas – for giving up their time to share their experience with workshop participants.
