   Paul W. Smith

   Director, Social Responsibility, BCLC

Paul W. Smith has been with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation since 2006, leading both communications and CSR portfolios.  He holds a BA from the University of Alberta, M.Div. from the University of St. Michael’s College, Toronto, and MS in Communications Management from Syracuse University.

Paul is the founding and past chair of Canada’s Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC) RG sub-committee, and a representative on the RG committee of North American State & Provincial Lotteries (NASPL).  He regularly posts to BCLC’s blog dedicated exclusively to responsible gambling, www.blogs.bclc.com 

BCLC has held World Lottery Association Level IV (highest) responsible gambling accreditation since 2009, and in 2010 was presented the WLA’s “Best Overall Responsible Gaming Program Award”.
